Beran Cookies
Ask a trustworthy adult for help. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Moist mixture:
- 2 sticks real butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 1½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla
Cream together butter, egg, sugar and vanilla and set aside.
Dry mixture:
- 2½ cups flour, sifted
- 2 teaspoons of baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
In another bowl mix together flour, baking powder, and salt, in until well sifted.
Add the dry and moist mixtures together until well combined. Spoon out the dough and roll into 1 inch balls. Set on an ungreased cookie sheet then slightly flatten cookies with your thumb. Bake for approximately 10 minutes; do not let the cookies brown. They should remain a cream color.
Let them cool on the cookie sheet. Move them to a wire rack only when they have completely cooled.
Rosebriar Frosting
- ½ stick real butter, softened
- 5 ounces cream cheese
- 1 pound powdered sugar
- 3 Tablespoons heavy cream
- 1 to 2 teaspoons rosewater
Mix together butter and cream cheese to a well-blended, smooth consistency. Add in powdered sugar and mix well. Add in the heavy cream and rosewater and mix to a spreadable texture.
Finally, frost your cooled Beran cookies and enjoy!
