Bella Sara Card Collecting Guide

Your Collection

Your CollectionCollecting Bella Sara cards is as much fun as any part of the game. If you haven't collected trading cards before, don't worry! This guide will teach you the basics. Then you can start your collection with confidence!

The Bella Sara website keeps track of all your activated cards for you. To check which cards you've activated, go to the Cards section of the website.

Base Sets and Expansions

Most Bella Sara collectors get started with base sets. Base sets are available for a long time and usually contain a lot of different cards. Even when base sets do change, many of the cards stay in the set. Only some of them are taken out and replaced with new cards. The first set of Bella Sara cards is a base set. A new base set will be released in 2007, replacing the current one.

Smaller sets of Bella Sara cards are called expansions. Expansions will have both new and old cards that all fit together into a special theme. Two or three expansions will be released every year.

Card Packs

Bella Sara cards are sold in randomly assorted card packs. Each card pack contains five Bella Sara trading cards plus one Bella Sara activity card. The horse pictures on the outside of the pack don't tell you what's inside. You never can tell what cards you'll get in any one pack.

Collector Numbers

Each Bella Sara trading card has a collector number in its lower right-hand corner. This number helps you identify the card and tells you where it fits into the set. Collector numbers are made up of two numbers. The first is the card's own number. The second is the total number of cards in the set.

For example, Luna's collector number is 19/55. This means Luna is the 19th card in a set of 55 cards. Extra-rare cards may have their own set of numbers. For example, the extra-rare, shiny Bello is numbered F3/9. The regular Bello is numbered 39/55.

Card Types

  • Horses: Horses are your friends in the world of Bella Sara. Horses you've activated appear both in the Cards section of the website and in your stable.
  • Energy Cards: Energy can make your horses happier and healthier. Energy cards you've activated appear in the Cards section of the Bella Sara website.
  • Shiny Horses: Shiny horses are special foil versions of the rare Bella Sara horses. If you activate a shiny horse, you can play with it just like a regular horse. But you still have to activate the regular version separately. You'll need both to complete your collection on the Cards page.

Rarity

Some cards are easier to find than others.

  • Common: There are four common cards in each Bella Sara Card Pack. Commons are the easiest to find and collect.
  • Rare: You'll usually get one rare card in your pack. Energy cards and some of the hard-to-find horses are rares.
  • Extra-Rare: If you don't get a rare in your pack, you'll get an extra-rare card instead. The extra-rares are the shiny foil versions of the rare horses. They're really hard to find! Only one of every six card packs has an extra-rare card inside.

Card List

Right after each base set and expansion goes on sale, we'll post the card list for you. Card lists are handy for both collecting and trading. Use the checkboxes to keep track of which cards you've collected and which you haven't found yet.
