NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THE PRIZE. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. CONTEST BEGINS AT 12:01:01 AM (ET) ON FEBRUARY 27, 2009 AND ENDS AT 11:59:59 PM (ET) ON APRIL 30, 2009.


  1. HOW TO ENTER: Print the official entry form available at www.bellasara.com/treasurescontest (“Contest Site”) and follow the instructions to complete and submit the mail-in entry form, with your Story (“Story”) about your favorite treasure and why it is important to you ("Entry"). The Entry should be no more than 500 words and in English. Mail your Entry to: Bella Sara Treasure Contest, P.O. Box 9234, Medford, NY 11763- 9234. ENTRIES MUST BE POSTMARKED BY APRIL 30, 2009, AND RECEIVED BY MAY 7, 2009. No illegible, incomplete, forged or altered entries will be accepted. Each Entry must be submitted by one person. Limit: one Entry per person. If additional Entries are received, the Entry received earliest will be judged. All Entries, including the Story become the exclusive property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Story must be the exclusive original work of the entrant, true and verifiable. Submitted Story (i) may not have been previously published or won any other prize/award, (ii) must be in keeping with the Sponsor’s image, (iii) may not be inappropriate, offensive, libelous or defamatory, pornographic, sexually explicit, unlawful or plagiarized, as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion, (iv) must not be harassing, abusive, threatening, harmful, vulgar, profane, obscene, excessively violent, racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable or offensive in any way, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, (v) may not violate or encourage others to violate any applicable law, statute, ordinance or regulation, (vi) may not defame or invade publicity rights or privacy of any person, living or deceased, or otherwise infringe upon any person’s personal or property rights or any other third party rights, (vii) may not contain commercial/corporate advertising, including but not limited to corporate logos, brand names, and slogans, other than those relating to the Bella Sara Brand, and (viii) may not harm or compromise the Contest Site and/or the proper conduct of the Contest. By submitting Entry, entrant represents that (a) (s)he has the unrestricted right to submit the Story and (b) the Story does not infringe upon any third party’s proprietary or other rights. By entering, each entrant unconditionally and irrevocably assigns and transfers to Sponsor any and all rights which (s)he now has or may in the future have in and to the Story including, without limitation, the copyright therein, in any medium whatsoever. Sponsor will have the unrestricted perpetual right to use, not use, alter, edit, publish, display and/or transfer each Story however it sees fit without further approval of or payment to entrant.
  2. SELECTION OF WINNERS: Potential winners from one of five (5) separate age groups will be selected on or about June 30, 2009 from among all eligible entries by representative of Bella Sara, whose decisions are final on all matters relating to the Contest, on the basis of a possible 30 points total: 10 points for Creativity (Cool factor!), 10 points for Originality (How unique!), and 10 points for Execution (Well written). In the event of a tie, the tie will be broken based on the highest score for Execution. Age groups are as follows: Group 1 – Ages 6 years old and under; Group 2 – Ages 7-8 years old; Group 3: Ages 9-10 years old; Group 4: Ages 11-12 years old, and Group 5: Ages 13 -18 years old. Potential winners will be notified by overnight mail delivery. Sponsor reserves the right to select fewer than fifteen (15) Winners if there is an insufficient number of eligible entries meeting the requirements/restrictions listed in these Official Rules. Eligible Winning Entries will be posted at www.bellasara.com.
  3. PRIZES: One (1) Grand Prize for each age group – Total of Five (5) Winners: Grand Prize includes: a Treasure Hunt, consisting of the following elements: [a] entry posting on a winners page at BellaSara.com; [b] six (6) t-shirts; [c] six (6) Treasure Value Boxes; [d] six (6) Plush Horses; [e] six (6) Ultimate Party Packs; [f] six (6) Bella Sara Books and one (1) Treasures Card Set. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of Grand Prizes: $538.70 each. Two (2) Runners’ Up for each age Group – Total of Ten (10) Winners: Runner Up Prize includes: [a] one (1) Treasure Value Box; [b] one (1) Bella Sara Book; [c] one (1) Treasure Trot Board Game. ARV of Runners’ Up Prizes: $39.48 each. Total ARV of Prizes: $3,088.30. All other expenses not included in the Prize description above are the sole responsibility of Prize winners. Additional restrictions may apply. Any difference between stated ARV and actual value will not be awarded. Odds of winning depend on number of eligible entries received. Prizes will be awarded (assuming sufficient number of entries). Sponsor reserves right to substitute prize of equal or greater value. No other substitution or transfer of prizes permitted. Sponsor is not responsible for winners’ limitations that prevent acceptance or use of prizes. Sponsor responsible only for prize delivery; not responsible for prize utility, quality or otherwise. Taxes and fees, if any, are the sole responsibility of prize winners. All values are in US dollars.
  4. ELIGIBILITY: Contest open to individual legal residents of the 50 United States, D.C. and Canada (excluding the Province of Quebec), eighteen (18) years old and younger as of February 27, 2009, except employees (and their immediate families and members of the same household) of Sponsor, its affiliates, agents, judges and advertising and promotion agencies.
  5. VERIFICATION OF WINNERS AND DELIVERY OF PRIZES: Potential winners will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and liability release and, where permitted, a publicity release. Prize may be forfeited and awarded to alternate winner if affidavit or releases are not returned within five (5) days after mailing to winner or if prize notification letter or prize is returned as undeliverable. If prize is won by a minor, it may be awarded in the name of a parent or legal guardian. Winners agree to Sponsor’s use of his/her name, address, likeness, and/or prize information for promotional purposes in any medium without additional compensation to the extent permitted by law, any such use with respect to a minor to be subject to prior approval of parent or legal guardian.
  6. GENERAL: This Contest is void outside the 50 United States, D.C. and Canada (excluding the Province of Quebec) and where prohibited or restricted by law and subject to all applicable federal, state, local and provincial laws and regulations. Any and all legal actions or claims arising in connection with this Contest must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction within the United States of America. Sponsor and judges not responsible for late, lost, stolen, damaged, garbled, incomplete, misaddressed, postage due, incorrect or misdirected entries, mail or communications, or errors, omissions, interruptions, deletions, defects, or delays in operations or transmission of information, in each case whether arising by way of technical or other failures or malfunctions of computer hardware, software, communications devices, or transmission lines or data corruption, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of entry materials, loss or otherwise. Further, Sponsor and judges not responsible for electronic communications which are undeliverable as a result of any form of active or passive filtering of any kind, or insufficient space in entrant’s e-mail account to receive e-mail messages. Sponsor disclaims any liability for damage to any computer system resulting from participation in, or accessing or downloading information in connection with, this Contest, and reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend this Contest should any virus, bug, technical failures, unauthorized human intervention or other causes beyond Sponsor’s control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Contest. In the event of any such cancellation, termination or suspension, a notice will be posted and the winner will be selected from among all eligible entries received prior to such time. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant from this Contest or any other promotion conducted now or in the future by Sponsor or any of its affiliates if (s) he tampers with the entry process or his/her fraud or misconduct affects the integrity of the Contest. Sponsor reserves the right to correct clerical or typographical errors in promotional materials. By participating in this Contest, each entrant accepts the conditions stated in these Official Rules, agrees to be bound by the decisions of the judges and warrants that (s)he is eligible to participate in this Contest. By accepting prize, winner agrees to release Sponsor, its directors, employees, officers, and agents, including without limitation, its advertising and promotion agencies, from any and all liability, loss or damages arising from or in connection with the awarding, receipt, and/or use or misuse of prize or participation in any prize-related activities.
  7. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
  8. WINNERS’ NAMES: To obtain winners’ names, send a hand-printed, self-addressed, stamped envelope to: “Win a Bella Sara Treasure Hunt Contest Winners,” P.O. Box 9255, Medford, NY 11763- 9255. All requests for the Winners’ Names must be postmarked by April 30, 2009 and received by May 7, 2009. In addition, winner’s names will be posted on a Winners page at bellasara.com.
